International arbitration conference “International Arbitration: Emerging Changes” will take place in Kyiv, on 17 March 2017. Leading arbitration practitioners from Europe, UK, USA and the legal officer of United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) will speak at the conference. The conference is organized by the International Commercial Arbitration Court at the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICAC at the Ukrainian CCI) and Vasil Kisil and Partners law firm under the aegis of UNCITRAL. On the occasion of the 25th anniversary since foundation of the ICAC in Ukraine, leading experts will gather in Ukraine for a thought-provoking discussion on the current developments in international arbitration. On March 18 and 19, following right after the conference, the Ukrainian Vis Pre-Moot rounds will be held for the second time in Kyiv. Ukrainian and foreign student teams are invited to join the conference and the pre-moot to learn and receive an incredible hands-on experience under the guidance of the renowned arbitration scholars and practitioners.

“I believe that it is a great opportunity for experts, scholars and practitioners from different countries not only to share experiences, new practices and achievements that will determine the vector of development of arbitration institutions, but also to meet with Ukrainian arbitration model, Ukrainian procedural legislation and the organization of the arbitration process at the ICAC at the UCCI,” noted Prof. Mykola Selivon, President of the ICAC at the Ukrainian CCI.

“As Ukraine is currently undergoing incredible changes in various areas and sectors, we aim to support these initiatives by making a contribution to building a more friendly business climate and promoting arbitration as an effective and advantageous dispute resolution mechanism. Strengthening the ties of the local legal community with distinguished international colleagues, as well as investing into the next generation of legal talents, we believe is an important step in sustainable development of the legal market in Ukraine,” said Oleg Alyoshin, partner, head of international arbitration practice group at Vasil Kisil & Partners.
