Team of Four TerraLex Firms Use Collaborative Approach to Successfully Complete Cross-Border Transactional Legal Work

RPC , Duncan Cotterill, Nixon Peabody, and Seri Manop & Doyle recently worked together to successfully complete cross-border transactional work on behalf of New Zealand and US based clients.  A New Zealand based trust along with another US based shareholder sought counsel in order to sell shares in a UK company.

RPC advised the vendors on the share sale and purchase documentation along with the impact of the sale in the context of the company’s Articles of Association and existing Shareholders Agreement. The collaboration aspect further unfolded as there were parties that needed to sign the documentation in New Zealand, the US and Thailand. The specific signing requirements were handled seamlessly for the clients resulting in appropriate certification for completion of the sale. The team of TerraLex firms were also able to handle the execution and notarization of documents under the TerraLex referral scheme – resulting in added cost saving for the clients.
