At an awards ceremony held by Taxation (the UK's leading tax publication) in May, RPC's contentious Tax Team scooped the award for law firm Tax Team of the Year. RPC's Tax Team has expanded its practice over the course of the past three years, both in terms of personnel and the range of its offering and this award is recognition of the team's continuing success. In addition to growing its VAT and Customs Duty offering, much of the team's recent success has come in the public law area, where an increasing number of Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs' decisions are being challenged by way of judicial review. The team is led by Adam Craggs.
RPC will also be battling it out for Corporate Team of the Year at this year's Lawyer Awards, held on 27 June. The RPC team makes the line up of transactional heavyweights based on a major insurance sector deal, led by James Mee and David Wallis. It's the second time in recent years that the team has been recognised, having walked off with the midcap Corporate Team of the Year award back in 2012 (for a deal which involved several other TerraLex members).
